“Ola Ana,
I hope your boss knows how outstanding you are at your job! You booked us the most amazing tour. We loved every minute of it. The accommodation that you chose for us was truly out of this world. We could not believe how amazing the locations, the buildings themselves, the history of the buildings, and the great service. They were really amazing choices. The 2 walking tours were a huge highlight for us. We got to see and learn so much and we felt so lucky to be just the 2 of us when there were so many large tours around us. The guides were so knowledgeable, such nice people, so easy to spend 1/2 day with. Thank you. The drive through the Douro valley, to the winery, the castle at Marvao, all the out of the way places that we never would have seen if it weren’t for you. Our first evening there, we were feeling so tired, but the dinner and Fado were incredible. The drive there in the taxi through all those narrow winding streets was a thrill and the dinner was delicious and the service so great! I have heard people say before about a country: “ The people are so friendly”, for example people said that about New Zealand, however I didn’t notice any difference when I was there, however in Portugal, OH MY GOODNESS, you should be so proud to be Portuguese. My mom and I both felt that it was extremely noticeable and obvious that the Portuguese people were such great people. What a very nice trait for a country to have! I really can’t say enough. My mom wants to write you a note too because she just thinks you were amazing as well. Thank you so much! You were spectacular.
OBRIGADA!

“Hallo Cristina,
We had a fantastic trip in Portugal and I enjoyed everything. The arrangements you made all worked for us and everything happened so effortless.
1.The hotels all were beautiful and the locations perfect. I liked the difference in hotels from new to old to the hotel on a wine farm or a monestary. If I knew then that I know now, I would have stayed in smaller towns and less evenings on the Quinta and in Evora.
2.The car worked. We switched to an automatic car in the end and that was a very good decision. I don’t know why my husband wanted a car with gears at the start!
3.All the people you organised were on time and interesting. The walking tours in Lisbon and Porto are a must. Very friendly people with a lot of knowledge.
4.We enjoyed all the extra activities and everything went well. I sent you an email on the Fado-evening and would still like to know if we can get a refund for the evening. 11 o’clock at night is just too late for us after being in transit for more than 24 hours. If we were 30 years of age we could have done that. Also the people at the hotel and on the walking tour told us to change our booking to the Fado at Cie. We had a beautiful evening there.
5.I had a medical emergency our last evening in Lisbon and the people at the hotel Britannia were fantastic. We had an ambulance within 6 minutes of asking for help and they did all they could to make me comfortable.
6.If I could give a positive idea? We would have loved to learn more about the cork oak and cork. It is such a big part of Portugal and we did not get any information on cork.
7.The GPS worked wonderful! My husband took his own and me and your GPS did better than his!
8.The road book helped a lot and is a very comprehensive document on Portugal.
Thank you for a very professional job. I will and had already recommend you and your company for people that would like to visit Portugal.
The most wonderful thing in Portugal is it’s food!! I loved all the meals we had and I had seafood for 13 dinners!
Kind regards
Miranda Kirsten” -

“Dear Filipa,
We are back in New York after the most incredible trip. You did an amazing job from start to finish!!
Highlights were the walking tour with Margarita in Lisbon and the tasting at the Lisboa Wine Bar, where I discovered the Serra Cheese and Green Wine, Pena Palace, Tasquinha do Oliveira (Tal LOVED it) in Evora as well as the Convento Do Espinheiro, Vintage House Douro was incredible as was a boat ride down the river, and we loved the city of Porto. Valverde Hotel was the perfect place for our last night in the country!
Everything went so smoothly thanks to your planning. And, to top it all off, it was an engagement celebration! Tal proposed just as we were leaving for the airport on the way from NY to Lisbon, so the week was even more special.
Including a few photos, and if there is anywhere you guys ask for trip-goers to leave testimonials I’m absolutely happy to do so.
Thank you so much again,
Felicia & Tal” -

“Good morning Nuno,
We are also back home safe and sound! Our trip to Portugal was very enjoyable. Your country is very beautiful and clean!!!!!!!!! We were happy to have our friends along with us on this journey especially on some of those long car rides!
We especially loved Sintra and wish we had more time there. After spending 3 nights in Lagos, we felt it was too long. The hotel was lovely but a bit too quiet for us. Our hike tour with Carla was incredible! She was the best! We bought some wine at the Fonseca Winery. The Churches and Castles we visited were beautiful!
The GPS was a great help and got us to our destinations without too much confusion. I must say though that we have never experienced so many round-abouts in our driving history! lol
Vanessa was great and available to answer any questions we had when needed. Our experience with you and Portugal Trails was great. I must admit, in the beginning we were unsure about having to pay for the entire trip up front, but seeing your professionalism and the package that was presented to us at the airport (thank you for the gifts!) was very comforting. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one. We will definitely recommend you to any of our friends and/or family!
Best Regards,
Liz Cruz”

“Cristina – once again we would like to thank you for putting together such a terrific itinerary for our recent trip to Portugal. We truly enjoyed every moment of it.
Having the preset itinerary along with the programmed GPS including points of interest gave us the opportunity to really explore Portugal. Also, the choices of hotels and their locations were perfect for us. We would have never found the hidden gems that you included in our itinerary. The tours selected for us while visiting the different locations were so perfect! They really gave us an understanding of the history of the areas we were visiting as well as the amazing landscapes.
We were very comfortable following our itinerary never questioning if we were going to stumble on some obstacles along the way, as we were confident that Cristina at PortugalTrails had taken care of every detail for us.
We look forward to working with you on our next vacation!
Regards,
Darlene NobrePS – Thank you so much for the beautiful soaps and cookies upon our arrival – that was very thoughtful!!”

“Marta, thank you for planning such a wonderful trip for us. Thank Ana, as well, she is such a dear young lady that is just so sweet.
We enjoyed all of the hotels you set up. The Britania is fabulous for Lisbon, Vinci Porto is great for Porto, and Evora hotel was good for our needs.
Some feedback that you can use for Evora Olive hotel is that our room was small, but comfortable and having the garage was just perfect. Breakfast was really good too. A great deal for the $. Everyone was very kind everywhere we went. Portugal people rock!
Thank you again so much.
We also visited Merida in Spain and Badijoz, I highly recommend Merida to anyone interested in ruins for roman culture from long ago. It is a bit of a hike in the car, but great for our needs. The roads in Portugal were so well maintained, we were impressed. The rental car people LOVE you, and said that specifically.
Thanks again, Best, Linda
Anyone desiring to travel to Portugal that I know of in our circle of friends will be referred specifically to you.
