With the expert assistance of Cristina Chagas at Portugal Trails, we we’re able to see the country from Porto to Lagos to Lisbon and several places in between.

We flew into Porto initially because we wanted to drive from north to south, rather than starting and ending in Lisbon. Wonderful Hotel Infante de Sagres in Porto to start our trip–centrally located/beautiful hotel/expert service. Two great restaurants within walking distance (2 minute walk): Tasco Muu restaurants.

Cristina arranged for us to pick up our rental car and after picking up my wife and our luggage at the hotel–off we went. I am 76 years old and my wife is 72 years of age and it was absolutely no problem at all navigating from town to town with our rental care and the Garmin GPS transponder.

We ended our 15 day excursion in Lisbon. Returned the car and enjoyed 3 nights in Lisbon with: a 3 hr tour of city/ an 8 hour tour to Sintra and Cascais/ an outstanding Fado/dinner show–all arranged through Portugal trails.
